The CoPilot Max 512i Hi-Resolution Printer by Squid Ink is built for manufacturers requiring large-format, high-quality printing in demanding industrial environments. With the ability to print up to 2.8 inches high from a single printhead—or 5.6 inches using two heads from one controller—it is perfectly suited for applications involving oversized codes, barcodes, or logos on cartons, cases, and packaging materials.
Powered by high-performance 512i piezo impulse printhead technology, the CoPilot Max 512i delivers razor-sharp print at 185 dpi resolution. It supports a wide array of ink types—including oil-based, solvent-based, and UV-curable—enabling it to print on both porous and non-porous substrates such as corrugated boxes, coated cartons, plastics, metal, and glass.
The system is equipped with a full-color 4.3-inch touchscreen for easy navigation and operation. Message creation and editing are done through Squid Ink’s user-friendly Orion™ PC Software, with files transferable via Ethernet, USB, or wirelessly. An optional Windows® tablet provides even greater flexibility, allowing operators to manage messages directly on the production floor.
Built to perform in rugged manufacturing environments, the CoPilot Max 512i features a durable construction and industrial-grade components. It uses a high-capacity 500ml ink cartridge or bag system, which minimizes interruptions and keeps production running efficiently.
